Tamil movie I is a romantic thriller one. This is the subject I have not touched so far in my career and this movie needed special make up including Vikram. So we the crew of Tamil movie I involved in search of the best make up studio international level. At that time we came to know about the Votta Studios - New Zea Land. So we went to New Zealand and started talking with that studio. That studio showed high interest with the movie I, after seeing the movie Endhiran complete movie. Then they have got exclaimed with the climax of Endhiran saying, they have seen many robotic movies but not a fresh climax like the climax of Endhiran and they started committing with the works of I. They added that even in your future projects, consult with us we shall see the business matters later.

But with what ever expectation you are coming with, into the cinema theater Vikram will make you satisfied. All the scenes in which Vikram is coming would be rocking. Make up is my idea in it, but the weight losing idea is by Tamil actor Vikram only. Commonly the actors do reduce their weights for movies, but Vikram has reduced by not eating completely that when we in the set eating biriyani but at the same time, Vikram eats some greens and leaves. I means beauty and as the story of the movie also about the beauty, we needed an angelic girl for the role. We did audition with too many Indian girls for the role but none got set for the role.Then only we decided to book Amy Jackson for this role with a slight confusion. But when we saw the Test shoot from P C Sri Ram, we got relaxed. Amy Jackson is well and good with performance wise also that we made all the dialogues of her in Thaminglish and she did pronounced all the dialogues nicely.

P C Sri Ram is a dense Cinematographer that it is very tough to give material for his camera itself is a big task. When we started the works of I, Tamil actor, Dance master Prabu Deva he asked about who is the cinematographer of this movie? When I said it is P C Sri Ram, Prabu Deva said, Super and the combination of Shankar and P C Sri Ram will be great. Now that thing has happened in reality. P C Sri Ram sir looks tough when we look from out, but if you go closer to him, then he is like a baby.

What is the difference between the A R Rahman who worked in the movie Gentleman and A R Rahman ( after getting double oscar awards )worked in I?

A R Rahman is more sincere now. In fact A R Rahman made a tune in the beginning, I have asked him to keep that tune for a better situation before one year. So, after one year, when we had look at those tunes, we thought we will need new fresh tunes. So A R Rahman did new fresh tunes for I again and gave. A R Rahman will reach better heights in future.

From the movie Gentleman, the age of Tamil cinema director Shankar is 20, but as a fan of Cinema, age of Shankar is 50. Are you feeling any changes in your understanding of Cinema?

I feel these 20 years as just 4 or 5 years only. When ever I am doing a movie, I am considering it as my debut movie only and doing. At the same time we should be updated with the time line else everyone will go ahead by crossing us. I am thinking a story, but the movie is getting released only after one or two years only. The story should be fresh even at the rime of the release ( after years ). When I am thinking in this way, I have to be searching for a lot of new things. In that search, we can contribute in the race only until when we have that searching. I have been searching.

Do you miss the writer Sujatha who worked with you in the movies, Indian, Muthalvan, and Endhiran?

Definitely !! Whenever I am reading a dialogue, I could not avoid thinking, how this dialogue would have been if Sujatha had written dialogue for this same situation. But all the loses are natural. Now the combination of myself with Suba would be amazing.

I liked the Tamil movie Moodar Koodam, that movie made us to think us with impressive, intelligent comedy each and every scenes of the movie by director Naveen. Tamil movies Moodar Koodam, Soodhu KAvvum, Naduvula Konjam Pakkatha Kanom made me to feel like, cha.. I should have produced this movie. This kind of movies are the oxygen for cinema.
